Obama's 'Enough' Moment in the Middle East

"President Obama’s call out to Americans of “enough” resonated and was the right thing to do in its time, so now the president must ring out again, to save Israelis and Palestinians from their own precipice, and the region with them."

The Red Line Israel Brazenly Crossed

"Every death that takes place in Gaza is not just the loss of a human life but a gradual demise of collective conscience which is so agonizingly silent towards the sufferings of a downtrodden nation and to the unspeakable tyrannies of a colonizing murderous regime....There is some considerable degree of truth in the adage that silence in the face of tyranny is complicity in tyranny itself."

Why Gaza must suffer again :: The four guilty parties behind Israel's attack ::

"It is near-impossible to believe that Netanyahu decided to revive Israel’s policy of extra-judicial executions of Hamas leaders – and bystanders – without at least consulting the White House. Israel clearly also held off from beginning its escalation until after the US elections, restricting itself, as it did in Cast Lead, to the “downtime” in US politics between the elections and the presidential inauguration."

U.S. intensifies Military Encirclement of China

"China is a critically important component of the two groups representing the greatest potential for a multi-polar world, BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. An Open Letter to President Obama

"Mr. President, the Rohingyas are victims of genocide in Myanmar. No linguistic camouflage of the yesteryears can hide this ugly truth. Please, have the moral authority to call a spade a spade, and stop this genocide, failing which, I am afraid, the Rohingyas will be an extinct community. Simply put, the human rights of the Rohingya and other affected minorities cannot take a backseat when they face extermination. It would be the greatest crime under your watch! Please, stop the extinction of the Rohingyas of Myanmar."

Another Superfluous War

"...the real remedy is peace. Peace with the Palestinian people. Hamas has already solemnly declared that it would respect a peace agreement concluded by the PLO – i.e. Mahmoud Abbas – that would establish a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, provided this agreement were confirmed in a Palestinian referendum....Without it, the bloodletting will just go on, round after round. Forever....Peace is the answer. But when visibility is obscured by pillars of cloud, who can see that?"

Economics vs. Politics

"In order to dig itself out of this economic situation, the leadership of Jordan has no choice but to find a political mechanism that ensures that all sectors of society, including the Islamists, are participating in the overall decision-making process. If not, the country will continue to suffer from ups and downs and changes of governments, which cannot be the formula for long-term political or economic stability in the country."
