Is the "Mega" Spy Case Headed for Hollywood?I can see the newspaper advert: “Dustin Hoffman as ‘Mega,’ the Israeli Spy who outwitted U.S. officials for more than 20 years!” In May, 2008, an ex-U.S. military engineer, Ben-Ami Kadish, was indicted for spying for Israel. Supposedly, he has ties to the convicted Israeli spy, Jonathan Pollard. The Feds believe that another Israeli operative, known only as “Mega,” is still on the loose. But, they are closing in on him--fast. What a film “Mega” will make! |

An Open Letter to Paul McCartney"In 1965, the Israeli authorities cancelled and banned a concert by the Beatles on the grounds that their music corrupts the Israeli youth. Now it is your turn to join the many millions of peace campaigners (including thousands of Jews and Israeli peace activists ) and take a stance against Israel's intolerable record on human rights and against the brutal repression of the Palestinian people." |

The License to target Islam"A war-oriented foreign policy, a xenophobic political theory and a theology recasting Jesus as a Crusader have set America on a dangerous political fault line for generations to come." |

Conform versus Reform -- Minorities and Women in High Office"No one should be fooled. America has progressed in small areas, and retreated in others. More people are entrapped in poverty than ever before. The gap between rich and poor is increasing exponentially. The middle class is moving steadily backwards, not only for blacks and minorities, but for everyone. Barack Obama or Sarah Palin will not change this, nor do they desire to." |

Deliver Us From Chaos: Ten Political Commandments"The current crop of candidates for president and vice president are all flapping their lips (with and without lipstick) making thoughtless statements that can and will come back to haunt us in the future." |

Afghanistan After the US invasion"Ongoing military operations have contributed to mass displacement of population in Southern and Southwestern Afghanistan. Villagers displaced by vicious military campaigns have created rudimentary refugee camps where hundreds of children and elderly die on daily basis. Furthermore, the continued loss of life caused by these military campaigns exacerbates the situation. Once families have been terrorized by military forces and sustained losses, they abandon their villages only to be terrorized by abject poverty, hopelessness and disease." |

Israel's dark arts of ensnaring collaborators"For decades, the occupation has imposed a system of absolute control on the lives of Palestinians that requires them to apply for permits either from the military regime ruling over them, known misleadingly as the Civil Administration, or from the Shin Bet." |

The Palestinians: Warehousing a "Surplus People""Warehousing is the starkest of political concepts because it represents the de-politicization of repression, the transformation of a political issue of the first degree into a non-issue, a regrettable but unavoidable situation best dealt with through relief, charity and humanitarian programs. It is a dead-end, a “given,” for which no remedy is available." |
